Poise - Abstract Ceramic Sculpture
Poise is a hand-built ceramic sculpture that explores balance, strength, and emotional presence. Coiled in black stoneware, its soft, asymmetric curves and open voids evoke a contemplative figure in stillness, offering both physical and emotional space.
Crafted slowly through an intuitive process, the unglazed surface reveals the raw texture of the clay and the artist’s connection to material and form. Part of a series exploring resilience through abstraction, Poise reflects an ongoing interest in gesture, body, and the strength held within softness.

Additional Details
Sculpture can be placed indoors or outdoors. If intending on placing a sculpture outside, I do recommend a coating of sealant, which I can apply on request. This does not affect the fired finish but maybe darkens the clay ever so slightly. If you are considering this, I could apply the sealant to a test tile of the clay so you can see exactly how it will look.
