Rhythm Form - Hand-Built Ceramic Sculpture
Rhythm Form is a hand-built ceramic sculpture that explores the force of movement and flow. Coiled in buff grogged stoneware, the piece is finished with a layer of white slip, then gently washed back to reveal the clay’s raw texture, emphasising both material honesty and surface depth.
Its undulating, asymmetric form suggests natural rhythms, like breath, current, or pulse, capturing a sense of energy held in stillness.
Part of a series inspired by unseen forces and emotional resilience, this work invites touch, reflection, and connection.
Rooted in slow, intuitive making, Rhythm Form holds space with strength and presence.

Additional Details
Sculpture can be placed indoors or outdoors. If intending on placing a sculpture outside, I do recommend a coating of sealant, which I can apply on request. This does not affect the fired finish but maybe darkens the clay ever so slightly. If you are considering this, I could apply the sealant to a test tile of the clay so you can see exactly how it will look.
