Hold - Hand-Coiled Stoneware Sculptures

Hold is a series of small-scale ceramic sculptures, each hand-built using coiling techniques and grogged stoneware. Made in a range of clays, grey, black, and crank, these pieces are shaped to rest in the palm, their circular forms and central openings inviting touch and contemplation.

Minimal in design but rich in texture, Hold explores the relationship between form, space, and gesture. The central void creates a moment of pause, an opening within solidity, while the raw surface of the clay connects each piece back to its making.

These works offer quiet presence and tactile engagement. Whether displayed individually or as a group, Hold brings material honesty and sculptural simplicity into the everyday.
